The test environment shall be reasonably comfortable to allow candidates to perform at the best level possible, free from distraction. The room in which the examination is conducted shall be adequately lighted and ventilated and desks shall be large enough to accommodate the candidate’s equipment. Each candidate, when using a computer to answer any part of the examination, requires an individual workstation, a computer, and access to a printer and appropriate manuals.
This examination consists of three (3) papers:
Time allowed: 2 hours 30 minutes, plus 2 minutes for reading instructions to candidates and 10 minutes for reading the examination paper and making notes.
UNDERPINNING KNOWLEDGE AND PREPARATION
This paper is designed to assess the candidate’s competency in creating and using a database, using a spreadsheet to develop documents for financial purposes such as a payroll and designing and developing complex text documents for use in a business environment.
The examiner will base questions on a selection of the following competencies in BSB50407 — Diploma of Business Administration — in the BSB07 Business Services Training Package, namely:
PAPER 2 — OFFICE ADMINISTRATION
Time allowed: 2 hours PLUS 10 minutes for reading the examination paper and making notes.
UNDERPINNING KNOWLEDGE AND PREPARATION
This paper is designed to assess the candidate’s competency in managing meetings; planning and organising conferences, workshops and forums; and managing all these as projects.
The examiner will base questions on a selection of the following competencies in BSB50407 — Diploma of Business Administration — in the BSB07 Business Services Training Package, namely:
Time allowed: 1 hour 30 minutes plus 10 minutes for reading the examination paper and making notes.
UNDERPINNING KNOWLEDGE AND PREPARATION
As with any business administration, leadership needs to be demonstrated. This paper is designed to assess a candidate’s competency in ensuring team effectiveness and managing people performance.
